Jamie Peck named Corresponding Fellow of the British Academy
UoM Alumnus and MUI International Academic Advisory Group member Jamie Peck has been named Corresponding Fellow of the British Academy for his outstanding contributions to the field of economic geography.
We are delighted to hear that ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ undergraduate and graduate alumni, Jamie Peck, has been named Corresponding Fellow of the for his outstanding contributions to the field of economic geography.
Jamie was an undergraduate and postgraduate in the Department of Geography during the 1980s and, after a brief spell in Australia, returned to ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ for as a Lecturer in 1990. He left ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ as a full Professor in 2000 for the University of Wisconsin-Madison, before moving to the University of British Columbia ten years later.
Jamie has been a past Hallsworth Visitor Professor at ºÚÁÏÍø³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ and continues to be involved in our urban research through his position on the MUI's International Academic Advisory Board.
